I think you missed the point entirely, but that's OK. Those that passed Prop 8 sent a message. Laws are fine, and are to be obeyed, but they don't wipe away sentiment and conviction.

That's okay, I'm happy to provide it again for you.

Prop 8 'sent a message' and was a 'beacon of light' like a burning cross in a front yard.

If it's over, then why all the problems? Why all the commotion? Why was it even brought up?

There is a difference between a lighthouse (and its function) and a burning cross. A world of difference.

Your persistence underlines the intolerance that many liberals and gays have for the people who have different views, and not for the views themselves.

One can disagree and dislike someone's perspective, but there's no reason to direct anger toward that individual. All are created equal. Based on dislike of the person gays direct their anger vengefully; therefore, Eich had to go. In this instance, Zuckerman (in fairness) should suffer the same fate that Eich did in response to a gay group's demands. That they don't demand (yet) that Zuckerman be ousted demonstrates their hipocrisy or, at the very least, faulty thought processes.

That doesn't negate the fact that we have a constitution, and people can not vote in laws that violate the constitution. If the people want to vote to change the constitution, then fine, but until them same sex marriage bans are unconstitutional.
