I don't think it was a gaffe or a blunder, reading the quote, I knew what he was talking about. Didn't you understand what he said?

You are free to think and hear whatever you want, as are other people who think and heard otherwise.

Since you are in Uncle Joe's head, please explain what he meant when he said "It was worth it". What is he referring to? That he went to Boston to hear people who lost loved ones or lost limbs? That the bombing shows how strong the survivors are and that the terrorists can't beat us down? Exactly what was "worth it"??
