Well, I hope this sets a precedence going forward. Hopefully, the next person who says something who usually gets away with it due to double standards will now be punished like this guy is being punished

So now he's just jealous, not racist. The projection is strong with some of you.
His personality and his business and/or personal attitudes on race and racial minorities have been well-publicized for years. Yet, the NAACP honors him and he receives accolades from black athletes and celebrities as he provides scholarships for black/minority kids and monies for other community projects. His inner feelings, if these are truly his root feelings, were fine with the black community ... as long as they were expressed privately. So the 'girlfriend' goes public, and the people who praised him ... shun him. Lynch mobs form. So think about this incident in context, with everything else. You ban a man for life, fine him $2.5 million ... for speaking privately, and freely in his own home or in a private place. People who claim to support our Constitution, Bill of Rights and any laws protecting individuals should mourn the day. One doesn't have to agree with the man's beliefs, but he certainly has the right to express them .... and suffer his employees and customers response for better or worse. A fine may have been appropriate for damaging the image of the NBA, maybe, but the NBA caved-in to play the race card in the opposite direction.
So, everybody knew for years that the guy was a piece of crap. But, it takes a tabloid style event going viral for anyone to take action? That's pretty pathetic.
