True, it's a sticky situation. It's just that to me outright housing discrimination and job discrimination is a much more egegious and harmful offense than telling someone in a private conversation not to bring people of a certain ethnicity to NBA games. Both examples are racist, but housing discrimination is just moreso IMO.

It's just odd that now the NBA decides to have a problem with his blatant racism. We should not allow the media that much influence.

If a man makes any kind of racist comment, he then has to pay so much money and sell his team?
Easy, take dollars out of Billionares pockets, that's how. They didn't become Billionares by losing money from sponsors because of the rantings of a crotchety old man. Let's say this was another owner other than Sterling and his team could possibly lose sponsorship money, Sterling himself would have been first in line for that owners removal.

ahhh but that is the key, the media can make or break someone, and they have not only that much influence, but power beyond the imagination.....

Would be so nice if some would get as upset when the president of our country lies. Apparently, it's worse for an old white man to make a racist comment.

why not?

the "media" is paying the NBA to show games and sell ad space.

It's the #1 reason most people in the media lose their jobs.

once again... the NBA gets Billions from TV stations to show games. Of course they can make or break a person and they will break a person if they believe he will hurt their bottom line.

some? Hell.. most of you guys on CD hate the president.

why does a Black man have to fall from grace every time a white man bites the dust? This whole "why isn't a black man going down" is hilarious.
