The guy didn't get off for a crime. He's convicted. He's going to have to register as a sex offender. I am saying black guys get a disproportion of the hefty sentences in general.
Even die hard liberals say black people, especially black males get the shaft with sentencing and the law.
I think since the conviction will drop off his record if he successfully fulfills the demands of his probation, that he essentially does get off for the crime.
Blacks may get disproportionately heavier sentences in general.
But this guy got off. Because the judge didn't like the girl's sexual history. That's WHY women don't report it when they've been raped. Because the judicial system judges the woman. And when they decide to let the rapists off, they're saying that the woman deserved it. That's what this judge is telling this girl. That she deserved it.
The courts deal with what is legal, not what is "right."
And this young man told the court he broke the law, that he raped someone. And the judge decided that the victim deserved it, and this poor young man should get a slap on the hand for what he did. Poor boy. Poor, poor boy.

Yes, and this case is an extreme outlier. It's more common to see severe prison sentences in sex crime cases even when no violence was alleged.
Had this been an 18 year old black man raping a 14 year old white girl what would have been this judge's decision??
