Gay marriage itself doesn't really have to do with equality. Gays make it sound like it is impossible for them to be happy in a relationship until the government endorses it. Does your love for a partner suddenly change overnight because of a law?
This has more to do with forcing society to accept homosexuality as natural and normal. After gay marriage becomes law in every state, it won't stop there. Gays will twist the discrimination laws to force themselves into every facet of society including churches and Christian businesses.
If you are not a bigot, then what are you? How can same sex marriage effect you? It will only effect gays, and give them the same rights you enjoy if you are married...
Nope, but giving the latest trends, Christians have lost their jobs and business, been labeled bigots and racists, been attacked at peaceful rallys if they DARE not bow down and embrace homosexuality.
And not only that, Christian business people have been told they must participate by providing a custom service to homosexual "weddings" against their wishes, against their beliefs, and thereby forcing them into involvement with what they believe to be sin and debauchery.
Never before in my life have I ever heard of an independent contractor having been forced to provide service against his will. As a private contractor myself, I reserve the right to decide what clients I will accept. My decisions for acceptance or rejection are my business, not the business of the government.
It swings both ways. You want to legislate your immoral beliefs upon Christians and force them to accept SIN as natural and normal.
So, you're fine with a nationwide ban on pork, cheeseburgers, shrimp, lobster, and shellfish - right? After all, their mere EXISTENCE in this country forces those of us who follow the word of G-d to accept sin as natural and normal.
Yes, it is a free country. You have every right to believe whatever the hell you want. The issue occurs when you want to legislate your religious beliefs as law.
Yes, we do. For example, when we vote on something we have a right to say yea or nay on the ballot based on any reason we have to either be in favor of it or oppose it. It's called Democracy.

So you are an ancient Israelite transported through time travel to modern day society?

Love is love. The 1,000+ legal benefits allowed to straight married couples but not to gay married couples in most states are also what they are.
Why do you want to make gay couples second-class citizens? That's unAmerican.
As for your silly predictions, pfffft. Just because Christians have "forced themselves into every facet of society" doesn't mean everyone else is just as ignorant.
Yes it has EVERYTHING to do with this thread. How he got votes. You fell for it.
That relates to Arkansas gay marriage … how, exactly? I couldn't care less what Obama thinks and probably neither do Arkansas gay couples.
You're really lost here, aren't you?
