Does it matter when he said it? Why are you hedging?

Who else do you give a pass to for things they said long ago?

Are you a hypocrite?

I know you realize that this view of yours is another side to the problem of race stratification in America.

In 1994 the Reverend Al Sharpton made reference to "Greek homos" in a speech given at a college. According to Ann Coulter, at the time Sharpton at first denied that "homos" was an anti-gay slur. When that was laughed out of the court of public opinion, he simply denied having said it, despite a videotape. Democrats appeared to accept that, and only 10 years later, Sharpton was given a prominent speaking slot at the 2004 DNC convention.

ABC said that Dems were wowed by the speech.

The Real prejudiced are the ones who assume liberals only think this, or that. The truth is that part of being open minded involves seeing people for who they really are regardless of race. That's why I think people like Allen west are just as nutty as they would be if they were white. Honestly though, I think it's hilarious when a lot of these black Republicans attempt to make broad (and completely BS) generalizations about what liberals think of minorities, and it is especially hilarious when they try to pin the Democrats of 2014 as still the party of slavery (somehow because they give govt assistance to poor people, which is obviously the same think as forcing people to do backbreaking labor).

He's not just a homophobe, he's also racist and hates jews and white people. The Left doesn't call him out because he's one of their own and he has power among their ranks. He was a driving force for Obama's reelection and in getting poor people to sign up for Obamacare.

The Democrats need him and his race baiting.

I've called people homos and fa**ots before (either in jest or in a fit of anger). Does that make me homophobic?

It is troubling how Al gets a pass for his many racists comments over the years, but not surprising. Others have paid dearly for alleged racist statements made 20 years ago or contributions to politically incorrect political organizations 7 years ago, while Al's documented quotes and taped racists rants have gone unchallenged. In fact, he has a TV show doesn't he?

Double standards poliferate these days in the liberal, doublespeak, good for thee but not for me society.
