You can have any opinion you choose about any topic. That doesn't mean that the rest of the planet has to agree with your opinion, or respect your opinion, or not speak out against your opinion. That is how free speech works. You say what you want, I can respond to what you say. If you say something that your boss finds offensive, he/she can fire you.
It's really sad that we are no longer a country that can respect a difference of opinion, and people like you are perfectly fine with punishing others who do not share your ideology. That's not freedom.
The elderly couple getting together after meeting at the 55+ club will NEVER have the ability to mate and use their penis and vagina to have a kid.
Likewise, a straight guy shooting blanks, a woman with a hysterectomy, etc., will NEVER have the ability to have their sex turn into a baby, even if their partner is not infertile.
So, in your twisted little world, they are "not as good" couplings as the much exalted, "heterosexuals who can produce a baby."
Honestly, why should we even let the infertile and the aged marry?
Nope. They are just as good because they are still heterosexual. Circumstances just prevent them. But a gay couple can NEVER have the ability. That's the difference. I'm talking about in general. But a gay couple can never, in general or otherwise.
But it's possible. They were born with the ability. Can you say the same for a gay couple, old or sterile?
Heterosexuals are born sterile too. There is no way they are going to have a genetic child with anyone.
And yes, I was born with the ability to have children, I have done so biologically twice.
If a NFL player commented on not liking another NFL player's off field behavior, he can get fined?
What next ?
Apparently if you want to play in the NFL, you have to accept homosexuality as being natural and normal. Maybe you can still oppose it inside your mind. Just don't dare verbalize your thoughts.
Nothing. As long as it doesn't extend to outside the job.
And Joe Blow walking down the street has no ability to fine you, or fire you, because of what you say. They may use their free speech to call you a dumb ass, but that is about it.
Not for having an opinion. Will this extend to other people who are not employees? For example, can some random person say that the kiss was gross?
Yes. And if no one within earshot cares, that's all there is to it.
If someone who hears it decides not to hang around that random person anymore, or to say something like "Dude, that's just so wrong," that's all that happens in America. Consequences range from 0 to firing, depending on the circumstances.
I don't see why this concept is so terribly hard to grasp ...
