I really fear for this woman's safety. I'm sure the fanatical global warming cults have their crosshairs aimed.

Love it!:

"The role of scientists should not be to develop political will to act by hiding or simplifying the uncertainties, either explicitly or implicitly, behind a negotiated consensus."

Default Doing science by consensus is not science at all

So true! But, doing post-normal science by consensus is post-normal science.

Post-normal science was designed to skip over all that "really hard sciency stuff".

My internet won't open the page, unsure if it is a trusted site and I prefer to not get a virus. I am sure it is a good opinion piece to read.

This is pretty much how that "science" works.

I could open it, but I stopped reading when I saw it involved Judith Curry. It's just more worthless drivel the OP got off his mailing list.

Judith Curry actually speaks like a scientist, not a politician or cultist. Real scientists not just accept, but demand repeatable, experimentally reproducible verification of their hypothesis. Real scientists actually try to DISPROVE a hypothesis by experimentation and observation. They do not demand blind acceptance of their idea and condemn those that ask for data and proof. Those are actions of religious cultists that demand blind acceptance of their dogma, regardless of other evidence.

The number of the promoters of AGW that also stand to profit on the backs of taxpayers by things like "carbon exchanges" and subsidized green companies make the integrity of their positions highly questionable.

Exactly-

Liberals do not seem to understand that science is not a "vote" or a "show of hands"- it is refuting the null hypothesis by careful analysis and objective evaluation of data.

"Global warming" is the opposite of rational science- it is a cult.
