The Information We Found on Veterans Administration Bonuses Has One Vet Calling for ‘Jail Time’ | TheBlaze.com

Not that long ago, Obama accused AIG of recklessness and greed, yet we find the VA awarding bonuses despite the problems in the VA with horrible care.

Just like our dismal public school system, administrative do nothings collect checks and bonuses while quality of care and teaching sucks, to say the least.

What else will it take for you big government lovers to wake the hell up?!?!?!?!? Government non profit programs that pay government employees too well along with handing out huge bonuses, all the while the purpose's of these programs are failures and DON'T WORK!!!!

How can you people continue to be so damn foolish?!

AIG gave bonuses After their bail out, but before they had recovered.

The VA as far as we know, gave out bonuses before anyone knew anything was wrong.

You are making a false equivalency, and the only good thing is that this one isnt on you, its on the media.

CNN just talked about this about an hour ago, but while talking about it, all they kept saying was that they got the raises in the same "month". that sounded very odd to me. I was wondering why they didnt just say bonuses were approved after they found out the problems in the VA. Its because they bonuses were approved before any of this came out.

Just like our education system, is been no secret that the VA has long been a failure. It just kept getting worse. Huge bonuses to any public employee is a travesty in itself. This money comes from tax payers, not profit. And they have to do little to even earn them. The government is more concerned with lining unions and yes men's pockets than they are with the actual purposes of these programs.

Whether the above post is true or not is opinion, and not what you were posting about.

You were talking about the bonuses because of the problems in the VA, which on paper were being fixed.

This happens all the time. Public employees receiving large bonuses at the expense of the purpose of whatever the program is. The VA has sucked for years and years. Yet I bet they've always received bonuses despite everyone knowing the problems with the VA.

Public employees, especially administrative do nothings who just collect a check should receive no bonuses, period. I heard a figure but cant find it at the moment, of the percentage of actual people who provide real services to the percentage of administrative/bs employees who dont, and it was shocking (not that im shocked because thats government for you). And people sit around and wonder why these programs never work.

The bottom line is, the government continues to prove it can not do certain things. And for good reason, it has no business being involved with these programs in the first place. The VA should not be a part of the government. The care should be done and administrated by the private sector. Time after time we see examples of government corruption and failure, yet the loons on the left and in the media want MORE government. How stupid can you friggin be?

Are you claiming the Private sector can not be corrupt, are you claiming they cant have problems ? If not then you are simply arguing who can administrate the system better and that again, is simply opinion, not fact.

The reason we see government corruption up front is because it is our tax payer money. When a manager at wal mart steals 100,000 dollars over a 4 month period, no one cares, but its still corruption.

The VA is just one of many government entities that get money dangled to them if they "improve".

Just look at how many educators have been convicted of changing test scores so their schools can pass and get their government money.

Miracles happen when the government dangles money.

In this case people died. The bribery resulted not in better performance but cooked books and dead vets.
