We mostly agree in this. What I have a problem with when it comes to the modern left, though, is their attempts to change the Constitution without going through the proper channels in order to do so. As I said, the Constitution was written in such a way that it can be changed. Thankfully, however, the process was made more complex than simply saying that it should be changed.
Kind of sad. All the accomplishments of Liberals I can go on and on...are buried in the sand

Just wanted to comment on a few here.
5. The rights of Americans with disability have been taken to the extreme by millions. Biggest are the welfare seekers. Since welfare was "reformed" in the mid 1990s. The number on disability has more than doubled. The most common reasons for "disability" payments are high blood pressure and "back pain". Clearly back pain is subjective. But that doesn't really prevent someone from getting a job. They even added "fibromayagia" to the list of disability diagnosis
6. affirmative action has been determined by many court ruling to encourage discrimination. Ironic since liberals stand for anti discrimination
7. Preventive health was covered outside of deductibles under by most HSA (consumer driven tax advantaged) plans that Bush 43 signed into laws. All my kids well child check ups were "free". My wife's pap smear was already "free". If she were 40 years old her mammogram would have been "free" as well.If I wanted a colonscopy when it was time it would have been "free" under my $6000 HSA plan in 2013. They were also covered by most regular health plans with low co pays. They sound like they re invented the wheel here.
8. Liberals let Osama bin laden loose during the Clinton administration even after one of his buddies bombed the world trade center back in 1993. Because of liberals failed foreign policies which happend during Clinton's entire 8 year term, liberals were responsible for 3000 innocent lives being lost in 2001. So they claim credit for something they caused? Ironic isn't it?
Now lets get to the AMT. The intent of the AMT was never to be a revenue generator. The intent was to make "the rich" pay taxes. Back in 1969 when the law was passed there were a few people making over 200K would had so many deductions they didn't pay any federal taxes. So 200K in 1969 is like 800K-1 million in today's money? Correct?
Yet the AMT clearly hits the middle class/upper middle class. Talk about irony. A tax designed to hit the wealthy hits the middle class. Almost all the AMT "taxes" are paid by those making between 100-250K especially those who live in high state income states along with those with high property taxes.

This is exactly right. "Liberals" of today are nothing like liberals of the past and not even close to the idea of "classical liberalism" (which is closely related to libertarianism today). I come from a family (both sides) that was nearly 100% democrat back in the day. Now, I don't know of any who are. The "democrat party" has been taken over, gutted, and radicalized.
Yep. My parents were Democrats too. That changed when the Democrat Party turned into the radical, anti-American medley of extremist special interest groups that it is today. Can't say I blame 'em. Me, I am young enough that the Democrat Party has always been off the deep end and full of extremists.
Yet my statement is 100% true: It was LBJ that blocked the Eisenhower 1957 Civil Rights Act from having any teeth. Otherwise we would all be praising the 1957 Civil Rights Act. Yes, LBJ later atoned for it, but LBJ himself delayed voting rights for blacks by 8 years.
In 1956 and 1957, Eisenhower (R) tried to secure black voting rights and it was LBJ (D) that opposed it and then only supported it in 1957 after he took the federal government's ability to enforce southern states to allow black voting rights out of the act.

Those liberals have certainly done wonderful things for formerly thriving cities such as Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, St. Louis, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Los Angeles among many other liberal created hellholes.
When the demands of environmentalists supersedes the necessities of the middle class regardless of race, then the middle class is bound to get demolished, which Obama has been doing nonstop for over 5 years, after his party initiated policies in the mid-nineties which which essentially -engineered the housing crash of 2007 during the SWA (Slick Willie Administration).
They were so hell-bent on raising the home ownership rate for everybody in this country and for minorities in particular for no remotely intelligent reason that they created the non-existent crime of redlining, which devastated the lives of millions of folks who had no business owning a home in the first place.

You also left out the importation of 1.1,000,000 legal immigrates on top of 1.3,000,000 illegal immigrates, into a nation with high un and under employment and at the start of a double dip recession..
