All if this talk about the Redskins made me think about the topic of armchair liberals. Does anyone here deal with armchair liberals on a daily basis? I live in a city full of them. Urban dictionary gives a pretty good definition for being urban dictionary "a person of liberal ideals who takes no action to realize them." I think the biggest "theme" for armchair liberals is how they think they are helping the poor simply because they vote Democrat, then they dust off their hands and congratulate themselves on being such great activists. I find them annoying, but harmless.

So, then you are an armchair Libertarian since all you seem to do is sit here and moan about the world not being like you want it?

Certainly, they typically tend to be selective in their application of faux outrage. It's often times completely unpredictable and they tend to be upper middle class.

Libertarianism is the ideology of government inaction. There's really nothing for me to do other than let others pursue their dreams, ideas and goals with minimal interference provided they don't infringe on the rights of others.

I vote democrat and it has nothing to do with helping the poor. I give to charities for that.

No. Most people who lean left are reasonable people who can see both sides. You meet very few people in real life who are as rabid as those who post on here. I suspect in real life they are much less slanderous in their verbiage. The same goes for those who lean right.

And The faux outrage of the progressive mitlitants is 1000X times that of the Tea Party right.

They get outraged by NFL team names and large cups of soda. The right gets outraged at the IRS targeting certain groups and our President lying about the the death of Americans. Now which side demonstrates more "faux" in their outrage?

So..couldn't the same definition be used for an armchair conservatives, except it would read as follows:

"a person of conservative ideals who takes no action to realize them."

Both the Democratic and Republican party are full of activist who comprise probably 5% of its base at tops while the remaining 95% figure it all out and go to the polls, where it really matters anyway,
