Like I'd sell it for a measly $10k.

The climate changes all the time. The real question is what is causing it, and can we stop it, like Canute commanding the tide to stop.

Over the course of 300+ years, we've managed to raise the level of CO2 by one particle in 10,000. ANd some want to make the case that we will destroy the planet with that level of change. Yay us, we are so powerful!

He would have to define what climate change is before it can be disproved. Otherwise, he could change the terms on the fly.

Come on wing nuts! Here's your chance! All you have to do is actually back up your mindless drivel.

Sadly, this money will go unclaimed just like the $1 million offered, ever since 1998, for an example of any "family farm" which had supposedly been lost to the estate tax. Republicans swore up and down that some how, even though they couldn't prove it, why family farms were being lost to the estate tax. In reality, no one has yet claimed that $1 million because it never happens, it was all just a lie, and Republicans had simply fabricated the claim in an attempt to do the bidding of the special interests which had bribed them.

Let me get this straight.

Nothing is happening - and people are supposed to prove nothing is happening... the professor needs to get a life and do something productive. Sheesh... Sucking on too much grant money...

What changing climate? We've been in a climate warming pause this entire century, go peddle you alarmism some place else.

Or do you think the planet should not have warmed up at all, and should still be languishing in the Little Ice-Age???

Tell us, when is it cold enough for you?

Would you like to still see ice along the shores of Lake Michigan in July or maybe August? Would that be climate normal enough for you?

It's real simple. Someone would just have to present a scientific paper that explains the phenomena we're witnessing on Earth without involving man-made factors. Sort of like the thousands of papers that explain those phenomena with man-made factors. It's a little thing called "science."

You'd have to prove then that the global climate is not changing (AGW says it is changing) or that it is changing but it is doing so independent of man's activities. Should be simple for the AGW deniers but all I see is excuses.

"I will award $10,000 of my own money to anyone that can prove, via the scientific method, that man-made global climate change is not occurring;"

Even so, recent years have been some of the warmest on record, and scientists expect temperatures will swing back up soon. Why did Earth
Good grief, you have got to be kidding me. So now the oceans are trapping the heat? Ah yes, the epicycles of man-made global warming.

The Epicycles of Global Warming

When True Believers begin to harbor doubts, they don't immediately give up the faith. It's too scary; too much pride and money has been invested; too many jobs and reputations are on the line; and they need to find a new reason to live. So they always try to add on new wrinkles and qualifications to their crumbling story.Today that's happening with the global warming cult.

"Epicycles" are cycles on top of cycles. When traditional astronomy began to collapse in the years before Copernicus, True Believers reacted by adding lots of little cycles on top of the great cycles of the planetary orbits, to protect their faith. Trouble is, they had to add so many cycles on top of cycles that eventually, the whole system became a laughingstock. Ultimately you could explain anything you wanted -- after the fact.
