"Yes, and they'll now start blaming him personally whenever they get stung by a bee."

These 2 statements are why Liberals have the monopoly on dumb ! Why, would you think that anybody, especially Cons would be opposed to this ? As stated in another post here, bees are beneficial to EVERYONE ! This is just as stupid as you Libs saying that Cons are against clean water, clean air, children, puppies, etc. Why don't you grow up and join the real world ?

You guys realize that bees are essential. If they were to go extinct we would be in a lot of trouble. Do you understand what role they play in pollinating our food sources?

You understand they are only talking about captive bee hives, right....

Until you can provide how many bee hives are in the wild...then you have no point....

And the number of keepers are dwindling.
Younger generations don't want to be bothered with stuff like that.

Everyone thinks our food is important.
Yet few want to go into farming.
Yet few want to have anything to do with livestock.

They all want to live in cities playing with their tech gadgets.
The food just "appears" in the supermarket for them.

Child, please.

One of President Crock™ Obama's biggest supporters -- Monsanto -- has more to do with the CCD than they are letting on. I wonder if the task force will look at Monsanto?

Right, because ensuring our future food supply isn't important at all.

Are you suggesting that bees are not essential? Yes, the article is about captive bees but what does that have to do with wild hives and the importance of bees??? Both are important.

Government propaganda..feed them what you want them to think

I'm rural and there's a beauty in watching a swarm settle in a tree for a day or two and then just take off after the queen has had her rest.

I've seen some as large as those big beach balls.

Of course the captive swarms are dwindling because the number of bee keepers are dwindling as there's no money to be made there anymore commercially.

I know two in my area and they do it as a hobby.
