Let's just hope that Israel won't have another Palestinian Intifada. I've been there when the last one occurred in the early 2000s and let's just say that it was not a pleasant experience.

After losing one battle, the whole french army, more than 2 million soldiers still almost unharmed, quickly surrendered. Churchill later wrote that the french said they were afraid of "infuriating the enemy".

Also, as for this French anti-Semitism, is there any data which states which percentage of anti-Semitic incidents in France were caused by Muslims?
France was not as much beaten by German military as taken by surprise then collectively stood there and wet their pants after the Maginot line was out maneuvered.

The French will claim they surrendered to spare Paris and other major cities from the fate of London, being bombed to bits. Fair enough one supposes; but when a country is occupied twice by the same forces in <80 years one begins to wonder about their mettle.

Israel is doing well economically probably in large part because of US support and donations. But they too have political problems every bit if not a great deal more intractable than the French. I think Jewish emigration will increase in the short-term, but reverse itself in the long-term as Israel's own demographic issues become more prominent.
Even before recent events it being "all over for the Jews" in France was a topic in the highest and other French circles for some time.

In a way it does tie into Muslims in that for many Jews their religion makes up a great part of who they are. Catholics and other Christian faiths by and large welcome a secular France where to be French comes before everything else, but to their surprise there are still some who haven't received that memo.

If the USA ever opens up immigration from western European countries to pre-Kennedy immigration reform levels France will likely empty out of persons of Jewish faith before any others. Taking with them their talents, industry and education. This of course has happened before in French history. When persecution (often ruthless) of the Huguenots drove large numbers out of France various industries at once almost or did collapse. Other countries such as England, the United States and what would become Canada welcomed the French Protestants where they prospered and prosper still today.

Had the Nazis somehow magically managed to occupy the U.S., then there might have unfortunately been some Americans who would have helped the Nazis round up Jews for extermination.
No mights. I guarantee some Americans would gladly and proactively helped round up Jews. Probably more so then the French.

Shouldn't think so the way current protests are going in certain circles. Illegal immigrants and or perhaps even LGBT persons promoting marriage or other equality would be higher on many lists one shouldn't wonder than those of the Jewish faith.

Outside of banking, finance, real estate, and the entertainment industry you don't hear much about Jewish persons in the United States IMHO. Most of those following the reformed branches are hard to tell apart from gentiles these days. I mean aside from High Holy Days you often wouldn't know would you? Of course there are the Orthodox followers who are often the more visible "face" of Jews in the USA, but don't think their ranks outside of certain East and West coast areas along with a few mid-west such as Chicago is that vast.

Problems for Americans in particular politicians is the vast number of Jews who are very well connected, wealthy, and vote as a block on issues such as Israel. In some states such as New York and Florida they can pack a powerful electoral punch.

Clearly France cannot protect it's own citizens from these attacks and the only solution will be for all the French Jews to continue emigrating to Israel where they actually have a government looking out for them. I have a feeling the Muslim Arabs will just move on to persecuting Christians once all the Jews have fled. I wonder if France will do something about it then?
French Jews leaving France is not the only option and Europe has always been hostile to Jews.

2014, possibly. 1930? Definitely would be happening. Anti Semites were rampant in this country. Many Jews fleeing Germany were denied entry to the US. Look at the St Louis. A ship sailed here, full of Jews. It was turned away.

However, I really don't things would be much different now. I really don't. Racism and bigotry will always be with us.
