Didn't Obama say he would not oppose the states legalization of marijuana? But he continues to prosecute pot users in states that have legalized it.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Washington, based in Spokane, is not backing down in its multiple-felony case against four family members and a friend who tended a rural marijuana garden for what they say was personal medical use.

Holder's Spokane Visit Doesn't Dim Prosecutors' Zeal in Kettle Falls 5 Pot Case - US News

Why do we allow the federal government to tell adults what they can eat, drink or smoke?

Okay, Republicans are constantly asking if there is anything about the Obama Administration that get liberals mad. For this liberal, this is one such issue. I'm really, really pissed that they are still prosecuting pot users. I hope this never goes to trial.

Selling drugs is against the law, and that is what these people were doing. These people were literally growing more bud than I could smoke in a decade. I don't think it should be a felony, but definitely a misdemeanor. I look at this no different than someone bootlegging booze. Just because something is legal to have doesn't mean you get to make money off of it without paying taxes.

Also, I'll be so glad when pot is legal in every state, so we can get rid of this whole "medical marijuana" BS. It's gotten to the point that people actually believe pot is medicine. LOL Anybody with an ounce of common sense knows that it's just an excuse to get high, which shouldn't be against the law in the first place.

All of this talk is giving me a headache. I'm going to go drink a couple tall cans of medical Budweiser.

Since when does Holder spell Obama? Holder is enforcing the law...even if we don't agree with it.

I certainly don't

Obama can use an executive order in this...but when he does he is a tyrant dictator that should be impeached...

It's not like it's meth, just quit prosecuting these people if they want to look friendly to legalization.

there is a pronounced tendency here to have crooked doctors write Rx for most anybody to get pot.
the pot is for people that need it not people that want it.

Have a Yuengling instead

I just find it funny that they are enforcing this, but not illegal immigration, of which a large portion of that is in drug running, esp marijuana and cocaine.

BTW, marijuana DOES have medicinal purposes. Whether someone gets high on it as well, does not negate that.

Legalize marijuana across the board. It has been a hypocritical prohibition from the start.

There are better drugs for basically anything that it can be prescribed for, and a lot of the things it's now prescribed for, are ailments that it has negative affects toward. My favorite is the treatment of anxiety with cannabis. It's one of the worse things you can do. It's even worse than treating anxiety with alcohol.

All that being said, I could care less if someone wants to drink or smoke their problems away, as it's none of my business.
