The overwhelming number one factor in crime rates is race, not political party affiliation. Wherever you find large numbers of blacks, you are almost guaranteed to find high crime rates. I'm sure that most of you know in your gut that this is true, but you don't want to be accused of being a racist, so you turn it into a political argument.
Actually, it is poor Black people, and underclass persons who are committing the murders. Last time I checked, its not regular Black people doing this. It's the underclass doing that crap. Big difference between regular Black people, and underclass.

And Reagan's amnesty didn't help either. Both parties are at fault. The inner cities have been gutted of jobs for over 40 years, under both Republican and Democratic presidents.

Or, are you operating under alternate history rules, where the lack of jobs and illegal alien problem only started under Obama and, during those 6 years when Bush and his Republican buddies controlled everything, jobs were brought back in huge numbers and the illegals were sent home? That must be a nice world in which to live. Too bad it's not the real world. Contrary to popular belief on this laughable forum, the nation was not perfect right up until January 2009, and nearly every problem that has existed under Obama also existed for many years, if not decades, before he took power, regardless of which party is in office.
Anyone who thinks the open borders policy is somehow one created by Obama has already lost all credibility... and shows a stunning lack of understanding of how the government works. Here's a hint - Obama doesn't write the laws. If you don't like the loss of jobs or the illegal aliens, go talk to your buddies in Congress and ask both parties why they are corporate sellouts... But that won't happen, because it's all the fault of "liberals," if we're to believe the people who don't even know what a "liberal" is...

4 dead in 3 days with population of 8 million, that is a 488 annual clip. Nashville had 43 murders last year, with 1/14th the NYC population, 14 * 43 would be 602 murders (showing it in a per capita manner), or about 20% worse than the annualized rate in NYC the weekend you wrote about. Tn is a red state. Maybe it's Haslam's fault!
The number of people wounded is almost the same number of people who were wounded in all the mass shootings around the entire country in the last few months

That is exactly right, but let's keep in mind that Reagan only signed the amnesty based on the promises of the Democrats, which they backed out on once they got what they wanted. People keep blaming Reagan for what the Democrats did. Enough is enough, just suck it up and admit the party is an utter failure!!!
