The MSM are Liberals first and that is how they run their lives and jobs. The NYTimes keeps losing money because it's total Liberal bias. The "Big 3" network news channels keep sliding into failure. MSNBC and CNN are toast.

What is in it for the Media to do this?

News sells and imo any reporter will report on anything that will generate hits on the articles they post.
How can you even ask that question in light of the media treatment of IRS hard drives crashing after figuring out there was going to be inquiries about inappropriate targeting of tea party groups? Not just one person of interest, but ALL six of the people of interest at the IRS.

Clearly only right wingers rant about media bias, I have NEVER heard a left wing nutter get their panties in a bunch over "Faux News." It's just two different sides of an equally stupid coin, but don't mention that aloud, better keep this leftie CJ thread going.

What's in it for the media? Access, and a job. They are shills for the corporate and banker line, and their "content" is vetted by the very same.

The Media is all about selling commercial space either on the air,the web or print. They need to find stories that will keep people watching, reading or buying their product.

When no one speaks to a reporter or blogger news goes away, as only the ability to find information keeps the media around.

While most in the media business continue to deny the problem of liberal bias, a number of journalists have admitted that the majority of their brethren approach the news from a liberal angle.

Quote:
“You know, it’s fairly well discussed inside CBS News that there are some managers recently who have been so ideologically entrenched that there is a feeling and discussion that some of them, certainly not all of them, have a difficult time viewing a story that may reflect negatively upon government or the administration as a story of value.

They never mind the stories that seem to, for example — and I did plenty of them — go against the grain of the Republican Party.

I didn’t sense any resistance in doing stories that were perceived to be negative to the Bush administration — by anybody, ever.

I have done stories that I perceived were not received well because people thought they would reflect poorly upon this [the Obama] administration.â€

Former CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson on CNN’s Reliable Sources, April 20, 2014.

yeah hon

just like Oswald shot JFK in throat even though he was behind the President.

You like to defend shadow government don't you.

The media was, is and always will be controlled, and Americans are waking up, much to YOUR consternation.

The media entirely stages and fabricates world events with CGI / Photoshop / Actors / Scripts, etc. They are a production company. The alternative "truth" media is controlled opposition meant to distract and scare you. They usually never touch the subject of media fakery. /watch?v=KYieVwIWmmo

A lot of idealistic young people entered the political process at the time. Many more entered the field of journalism, with the very noble goal of righting wrongs and making this a better society. The Dems made great gains in the House and the Senate at the time, and in the states, state legislatures, and in state governorship's as well.

Well, those young people are now The Establishment. What is it that The Establishment does? Pursue its agendas.

Why do you think those establishments are so quick to denounce the new media, the blogs and the news sites? Because they are defending their turf.

It's all about the ox, and who is goring it.

You didn't go back far enough. Real journalism began with Morrow and his boys. Sadly, those days of real journalism have been long over.
