Kicking the can into the future is the American way. Who is going to elect someone that tells the truth? We live in a global economy and machines can do a better job at less cost than most people. Most new businesses fail due to mistakes made by the business owners , not government. The masses have put their beaks in the sand and ignored very clear 25 years of evidence that the world continues to change and those with no skills have very few opportunities to better their lot in life unless they are willing to learn and in many cases, relocate.

The US people are not exceptional or better just because they had the good fortune of being born here rather than somewhere else. They do however, continue to have more opportunities provided they are willing to put forth tremendous effort to change themselves.

It's easier to blame than take responsibility for one's own outcomes.

Because our Founders didn't choose to include a 'no confidence' option in our system of government.

Unless you can time travel and convince Madison it's a good idea, this is the way the system works.

As for those suggesting impeachment, there are very clear reasons and rules for beginning the impeachment process. 'I don't like him' is not among them. The GOP isn't about to make the attempt again because with Clinton, it just wound up damaging them more than the Democrats.

I wonder when right wingers will get this one. Just because their guy didn't win and they don't like the guy in office doesn't mean they get to impeach him....besides it isn't like being impeached means they would get one of their guys in office instead like they could with a state or local election.

It wasn't in reference to a region, and as a Ct native, and as one who abhors Tn's very low college grad % of population rate, I am all too aware that what you are saying is spot on.

There is the slight matter of an impeachable offense. Or have we finally reached the point where the Republicans consider impeachment as just a political maneuver?

Yes, we are definitely at that point. The OP and many other conservatives here sure seem to think so, anyway.

Why do these so-called "patriots" hate the Constitution so much?

Because even if he is impeached, there are not enough votes to convict.

Because the "anything but patriots" are not loyal to anything, including country.

And because there have been no impeachable acts on which to impeach him, much less convict him. You know, those pesky little facts outlined in the Constitution, that document that, in theory, the right professes to love, but hates to actually be forced to follow.

What this is really about is that there are some people that just can't stand the fact that there is a black man in the White House. That's the truth of the matter.
