The president's job is to address this immigration crisis at our border not to fund raise. Obama is ignoring the problem, refusing to go to the border, and Perry should be impeached, not Obama? Which is worse, a few hundred thousands people illegally crossing our southern border, bringing disease and who knows what into the country, costing the country billions of dollars, or a freaking hand shake?
What can be accomplished by standing at the border?
I'm no fan of Rick Perry, but is anything he said in the quote factually wrong? The open border is the result of both Republican and Democratic indifference to border security. But right now Obama is president and head of the administration and it has been his responsibility for 5 1/2 years. He is completely indifferent. Wasn't it a couple of years ago when he mocked people who wanted a secure border? Although this is not an exact quote, he said something to the effect of 'what do they want? A moat with alligators in it?' That tells you all you want to know about what he thinks about border security.

The president never seems to shy away from any other photo-op. But he really doesn't have to come to the border. He needs to change the law that is causing this problem. He does have his pen and phone after all.
Perry isn't a great speaker, yet his message is clear. We are in a crisis situation here, and it is being ignored by the President who caused the crisis. These tens of thousands of children are living in deplorable conditions because the President is doing nothing to stop this migration or help with their care other than his usual worthless words, platitudes, BS.

Thanks for proving my point so quickly.
And if he did 'change the law'...you'd call him a dictator.
