The country I was born and my home town where the bodies are arriving right now with my daughters first grade teacher amongst the victims is heartbreaking and also a wake up call for the rest of the world that there are people out to destroy anyone with no respect to life's.

80 kids were on this flight which is more than on most flights.

RIP

The images of The Netherlands are impressive and seeing all the people next to the road is showing what is going on in Holland and how hard it hit home.

Saw on the BBC they were still calling it an 'accident' and 'air crash'...as if there was no one to blame.
The rebels just shot down more planes. They have zero fear of any repercussion of what they did. They know the EU and US are weaker then ever before.

You are right and this will probably happen more often.

El Al has on all their planes missile detection equipment and I'm not sure how it works but it seems their planes are one of the safest and having flown on El Al once I really felt safe since the way they interview you is different than on any other airport. I have been interviewed in a similar way when flying over here ...not once but many times since after 9/11 they have been asking all travelers similar questions but when it was done by El Al personal it felt different and way more serious.

Obviously you didn't read the thread title. Final peace for those who died.

"I sink. The meadow fireworks crack and spit.
Without a death my life’s deserted me.
I’m nothing more now than my silhouette.
I had but one true friend: eternity." Gerrit Komrij
