There was piece on the news years ago and this woman was advocating for organic food and that's fine but she wanted all food to be organic. I'm thinking to myself this woman is absolutely clueless. She is going to get in her white Mercedes and drive home to her McMansion happy she helped the poor becsue now they are eating organically grown food... that they can't afford.

If the world switched to only organic food billions of people would die of starvation.
High electricity prices are not necessarily a bad thing.
High prices cause people to conserve, and conservation is the only way out of our current over-indulgent squandering of our power. The United States doesn't have the vast resources that were here until the last half of the 20th century.
We cannot keep on going as if we have everything in vast supply forever as our great grandfathers and grandfathers did. Much of what our lifestyle became in the 20th century was predicated on the belief that we would never run out of anything, but now we know that isn't true any more.
Will we find technological means to work around our irritating natural resource limits? Possibly. Americans love technology, especially when it creates a lot of something for less money than what something cost before. But until then, a pinch in the pocketbook is the quickest way of cutting down on the squander, and the conservation that comes from it will keep us closer to what we need, even if we don't get what we want all the time.
High electric prices affect everything you purchase whether it's food, construction materials, visit to the hospital etc. It's never a good thing. ...and when you are low income and already doing that?

We burn about 1 billion tons of coal per year, the very tip of this graph labeled active mines is about 18 years worth of coal. The important number is estimated recoverable reserves. This is coal that is known to exist and can be economically mined.
Obama doesn't care about people. He cares about having power to execute his plan for the country, not to help the people in this long continuous recession. Obama is playing with fire.
Obama never made the right decisions for the people . He threw away billions on his green energy solar power. Obama stifles job creation, supports inflation which further hurts the economy and the people.
Many people have remortgaged their homes, some with an extended year mortgage of forty years, some borrowed all the equity on their homes, some have maxed out their credit cards. This country is in bad shape. The banks are broke and our government is still bailing them out at 80 billion a month. Our deficit will have to bring higher taxes to every one. Our dollar is devalued and inflation will make the middle class slide down to the category of poor. I see no light at the end of the tunnel. There is none to be found.

From June of 2002 to June of 2008 the price of electricity went up 35%. From June 2008 to June of 2014 it went up 12%. A curse on Obama and his "skyrocketing" electricity prices!
Obama hates nuclear too. Wait until they start closing those down.
