If anything this should be a wake up call that this is not a race issue. It's a Police issue.
Not judging this particular scenario but judging by how many are killed by Police and our corruption issues.
OP. You might be surprised. You go out and start protesting and you'll probably have some black people right by your side. And there were many white protesters at the Ferguson protests.
More drones could be the answer. They could engage the criminal and keep the police safe. We can stamp due process on the munitions then eat popcorn and watch the video. A modern day Roman Circus like event playing out on nightly news.
Now if you want to make money on it, and we are a capitalist society, some form of betting should evolve. I got ten on white anybody down on black ?
Personally, I was outrage a white cop threatened, beat and killed a homeless man. I do not want thugs and criminals wearing uniforms, I could care less what color they are.
Utah is a different world. There isn't very much racial tension (though the vast majority is white, of course) and the police tend to be trusted more. Crime rates are also lower and few folks here have patience or sympathy for crooks. The prevailing attitude (right or wrong) is that if the cops shoot someone, it was deserved.
Plus when Mormons get mad they don't generally start looting and trashing their hometowns.
