What will the future hold for the Sunshine State if this drought continues? What a disaster this is starting to look like for the entire country.

All their water sources are essentially drying up and they are taking water out from underground at rates never seen before. The state is so overpopulated that the situation is 100X worse than it should be.

We might be watching California essentially turning into a desert before our eyes.

Not for the east coast. We have plenty of rain. But the west is hurting, that's for sure.

Yes, something like 60% of the state is classified in a "severe drought"

I'm glad your area is ok, I feel really bad for the folks dealing with this.

California agriculture is taken for granted in this country, people will really start to feel the hit at the grocery stores very soon.

And in Minnesota where I'm from, these endless acres of corn that is being turned into ethanol and feed for cattle ..some is going to have to go back to truck farm vegetables to replace what is being lost in California.

The Sunshine State is Florida.

It was at least 10 years ago that I read some of the studies indicating the 20th century was the wettest century in 2000 years in CA.

Anyone deciding to stay after learning that is in the Darwinian loser category.

The cost, environmental regulations, NIMBYs, head-in-sand mentality, time-not-on-our side, etc.
