Wow!

These smart scientist, have just now determined that the earth has gone through many periods in its history, without ice caps?
Antarctica was once tropical.
North America was once an ice sheet.

Those smart scientist are still trying to figure out if the pole flip is spontaneous, or gradual as we are seeing.
New York area use to be the north pole thousands of years ago.

In one hundred years after finding and monitoring true north pole, look how far it has moved and which direction. Our rotation in relation to the sun, is directly related to the magnetic poles.

Yeah my brother is actually a true scientist. He actually does real work and he laughs at this "science".

He basically said they invented a field of study to fund their own quest for relevancy.

Actually, most of us "scientifically illiterate people" BELIEVE that the climate is changing.
However, we question the WHY of the change.
We wonder if MOST of the change is due to the activities of mankind, or only a small part.
We question the catastrophic results of the change that some "scientists" (and others) are always harping on, but nothing is being done to adapt to.
We question why, in the pre-historic past, the Earth was apparently much warmer (and colder) than it is now.
We question why, in the 1970's, the "scientists" (and, again, others) were saying the globe was cooling, and we were all going to freeze or starve to death by the year 2000. Obviously, NONE of the dire predictions happened.
We question the motives of the CAGW cult. Are they in it just for the money? It often appears so.

Well, if the glaciers started melting nowadays instead of 12k years ago, we'd all be in big trouble. Would be coastal cities would be under water.

Climate change itself doesn't affect us as much if we're still a nomadic race of people. But nowadays, we have infrastructures built adapted to current climate. We don't want another climate change.

If they're so paranoid and afraid why don't they move to Alaska where it will be nice and warm and pick out a nice mountain top where they'll be high and dry.
Smart people prepare for a hurricane before it comes. Dumb people end up trapped and loot the stores for tv's. I'm guessing you're the type that doesn't believe in something until it hits you in the face?

Personally, I believe the climate is going to change whether we want it or like it or not.
Quite possibly, there is absolutely nothing we (mankind) can do about it.
So, should we endeavor to adapt to the inevitable change, or should we sit around moaning about the catastrophic result of the change?
As always, when choices are involved, choose wisely.
I think we should be learning to adapt, and doing whatever it takes TO adapt!

Again, again, and again ... People are confusing Climate CHANGE and Global Warming.
Are we undergoing Climate "Change" YES there is NO doubt in this matter.
Is the Planet as a WHOLE warming? No.

Do humans have an affect on the LOCAL environment? yes
Do humans have an affect on things GLOBALLY ?? minimally

There have been a few cycles throughout Earth's history where it has WARMED to the point life on land was impossible and times it was nothing but a large ice rock ALL of this happening MILLIONS of years before humans, at the ending of the last Ice Age humans were nothing more than hunter/gatherers.

Should we do everything in our power to keep from destroying the planet's environment ?? Of course.

Well said Obviously we have to protect our environment, but to think that our actions affect the temp of this planet, which is covered by 2/3 of water, surrounded by space that is absolute zero temp. Heated by the fusion fueled sun millions of miles away is laughable.

CO2 in the atmosphere LOL. The sun has been peaking in energy output for some years and has been waning like it's always done. Sun warms the planet-ice melts and huge amounts of CO2 are emitted by melting ice. Sun wanes, Earth cools (like what is happening now). CO2 is insignificant to world temps.

Agreed. This is why I don't agree with either side of the debate. One side claims we need to stop it from happening whim the other believes the rapture will happen any moment now so there is no need.

Yeah right....It's also replete with articles about the earth being less than ten thousand years old...Here's a clue....Articles posted on the internet does not somehow make them true.
