I also expect when Stimulus spending is looked at based o its massive infrastructure spending and job creator it will be seen mostly has the special interest bill it really was.

I'll give Bush credit. After two terms of doing essentially everything wrong, he had the good sense to recognize the problem and do something about it. Any sane Democrat in office would've done the same thing if faced with the prospect of not having an economy.
That's one of the biggest reasons I'm glad McCain didn't get elected. While the adults were figuring out how to still have an economy, albeit a badly damaged one, he was "suspending" his campaign so he could go to Washington and stare off blankly into space.
So Bush destroys the US economy, injects funding into that disaster, and makes money when the next administration fixes things. Thank you George Bush?
The time line for those that make the laws seem to point to the Jan. 2008 - Jan. 2011 Nancy & Harry clown show.
The President just signs the laws congress creates(Unless your Obama)
The crash was put into play the day Glass-Stegall was repealed and replaced, in order to offshore america.

I love how your "time line" just happens to put all the blame on Democrats and completely ignores the entire growth of the housing bubble, as if it inflated itself the day Nancy Pelosi picked up the gavel and poor little Bush was powerless to stop it.
His entire presidency was an unmitigated financial, domestic, and foreign policy disaster that we'll be cleaning up for decades.

The people who most whined about the bailouts were conservative and they carried on largely bailing Obama for them retroactively. Thankfully, the people both R and D running the country at the time carried through on what was needed to get things back on track.
