Every now and then something relevant and appropriate, even perceptive, creeps under the hem of the tent and into the New York Times. It happened again Sept 15 by Roger Cohen and it is titled "The Great Unraveling". It's worth the read.

"It was a time of disorientation. Nobody connected the dots or read Kipling on life’s few certainties: “The Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire / And the burnt Fool’s bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire.”

Until it was too late and people could see the Great Unraveling for what it was and what it had wrought.

Why would this come as a surprise, some have been preparing for what is to come for years. It is not a bright future that is coming maybe some future generations will enjoy a peaceful world, if either is still here.

You know what? This Cohen guy never named the source of a great many of these faults - liberalism.

The libs put him in office and are responsible for Obama. Obama is an idiot for sure. However, he would have been a powerless idiot without all of the fools who voted for him.

Excellent read.

Barack Obama is Worthless (with a capital "W") and the whole world knows it.

The wisdom and foresight of George W. Bush gets more prescient with every passing day.

We do not negotiate with terrorists. We will fight the terrorists where they are, not where they seek to be. Either you're with the United States of America, or you're with the terrorists.

Barack Obama is a traitorous blight on American history. We will face decades of intervention across the world to make up for the 8 years of isolation and pacification inflicted by this petty, petulant, and incompetent man.

Yeah, since that source only exists in your imagination.

Wow, you guys actually think the thread is about Liberalism and Obama. No one said Cons are the brightest animals in the barn yard.

"The Obamalypse is well underway."

Great piece. Rare for NY Times. Thanks for sharing.

Did you read the article? Barack Obama was not spared the wrath of this writer. If anything, he had his ass handed to him in the most polite way possible.

Well you can't say that anymore.

LaHood's son and Bergdahl showed that we actually do negotiate with terrorists.
