You don't need a prescription for Plan B & it's out in the aisles BUT, it's locked up. So, you still need a pharmacist or someone to come & unlock it.

If that's the case, then why isn't thirteen the age of consent? Hmmm, well, because children of that age are not mentally or financially able to or stable enough to have a child and care for it....

Biology isn't always correct. Back when humans were roaming around looking for berries, discovering how to build fire, and their only purpose in their short lives was to ensure the survival of the species, thirteen might have been appropriate. However, we have advanced as a species, and our early reproductive readiness is a left-over of our primitive origins.

I believe the official policy is to give condoms to children young
enough to think they are balloons.

Ahh, I didn't realize it was different in other states. This is at CVS, maybe they have had problems with people stealing it? They do that with other items like formula, items that are stolen more often I guess.

What does it say about a society that needs birth control as readily available as a candy bar in a vending machine?

It says that humans were meant to breed as much as possible, whenever possible, and that millions of years of evolution is not generally trumped by society.

I think it shows that a society took a wrong turn somewhere along the line, and seriously have their priorities mixed up.

Unwanted and unplanned pregnancies have never stopped, and have always been an issue. No time in the history of human society has this never been an issue.
