it isnt panic time yet... but boy it sure is freaking living here in Dallas!
The fact that the people living with him have not gotten sick is good news. Maybe Duncan's contagious state was at it's peak when he was admitted the second time. Or maybe the risk of infection is not always the same from patient to patient? <shrug>

Wouldn't you think that the people who would have been protecting them selves with the most care, and the least susseptable to contracting the disease, would have been the medical personnel?

Well, we can pretty much ignore those clowns and their data, they skew and distort everything else. The CDC has lost all credibility with me, because the people running the show are pompous, arrogant and too full of themselves.

And political correctness will continue to suppress the numbers and the risks. You know, we don't want to create unneeded "fear" of these much needed African Immigrants we constantly have coming in here.

Political Correctness sometimes I think will ruin everything our forefathers built here.

I have seen that some people are freaking out over the above picture. However, Ebola is not airborne, and the guy with the clipboard is simply walking behind the infected nurse. I imagine he made sure to not come into direct contact.

Yanno, it is darn shame what our world has come to....there is not one intellectual bone in these people's bodies....none...they should have been working on vaccines for the past, oh, I don't know, maybe 30 years? What they heck do they get paid for?

This should get people wondering, if the CDC is run like this, what the heck are the other people running this country doing?

It is pathetic.
Ebola strains have been known for almost 40 years. Historically, it's been a remote situation that quickly dies out.

The majority of WHO's funding comes from first world private donors who have influence over WHO's priorities and thus focus on first world healthcare exposures, heart disease, Cancer, diabetes and so on. The CDC mandate is similar. Imagine attempting to persuade Congress to substantially increase funding for something as previously obscure as Ebola. Imagine trying to get funding for a vaccination for an obscure virus, such as Ebola.

Funding for the Federal Hospital Preparedness Program has been halved over the past decade. Funding for the Health Emergency Preparation Program has been slashed. Reportedly, 50,000 public healthcare jobs have been cut. Did the state's pick up the slack? Did the American Hospital Association pick up the slack? Did private donors pick up the slack?

So here we are and it's hit the fan and it's all big bad government's fault.

Deborah Burger, co-president of the nursing group, said nurses assigned to care for Duncan weren't given proper training or proper personal protective equipment and were assigned to care for other patients, potentially exposing them to Ebola. Duncan was left in an area with other patients for hours after he was diagnosed rather than immediately isolated, she said.
Burger also said blood samples taken from Duncan were sent through the hospital's general tube delivery system, rather than hand-delivered to a lab. She said that could potentially contaminate the entire tube system.
The hospital also failed to promptly remove waste contaminated with Ebola, which was stacked "to the ceilings," Burger said.

As I see it , the viral load of the Ebola infected patient has much to do with passing it on.. The nurses werre exposed to a very high viral load from Duncan. Also some people are more susceptible to acquiring a virus.. touching a door knob , touching their nose, having a weak immune system, it is just unpredictable who will come down with Ebola. A virus is very small. It finds its way into the nose , eyes, mouth , lungs , cuts of a person and starts to multiply after entry into the body .. it is a hit or miss thing.. the higher the viral load of that person infected with Ebola the more they can infect someone with a cough, sneeze or body fluids that contain much viral load.

This stain of Ebola is not dieing out. It is growing with more cases than all the cases put together in the past 40 years.
