A lot of those that pack heat for protection, do not have to will to be lethal, because they are good people, taught not to kill. Same as you see men get pummeled because they were taught not to fight back.

No, you get misses at 8 feet because you're shooting under stress in the dark and someone is shooting back. Never mind he had one of the biggest POS guns out there with a tiny grip and a horrid 12 lb trigger.
Exactly that horsecrap every bit started with the NRA backing Reagan and the propaganda machine started..it looks like the one's "skeered" of losing their gun rights would research who actually votes against gun ownership rather than spouting talking points from their NRA emails etc..."study to show thyself approved" I think if they ever did that they would get really PO'd at themselves for listening to the rheotoric spewed by the ignorant or those with an agenda.

Take moving out of the equation. How about a target that's shooting back? His results are not uncommon. You shoot to stop a threat you don't shoot to kill. His shooting stopped the threat. The job was done. So .380 is effective, eh? Here's a guy who was shot 5 times in the face with .38 special and then managed to get to his car and drive away.
There's an old saying in the gun world: What does someone normally do after they've been shot with a handgun? Whatever they were doing before they were shot with a handgun.
I took at look at one of the retailers you suggested. WWB 9x19 is 14.99 per box while .380 is 21.99.
I shoot about 4 boxes an hour usually so we're talking 28.00 more per hour to shoot a smaller, inferior round. No thanks. There are also numerous gun options out there far superior to that Bersa in 9x19 that have similar ergonomics, demensions, weight, trigger pull, end etc. I work in the industry locally and nobody stocks .380 so it's hard to find here. It may be a regional supply issue or maybe nobody stocks it because it's an inferior round. Who knows but either way up here it's hard to find.
In conclusion: Friends don't let friends by .380s.........
I never changed the subject I simply commented on his shooting skills or shall I say the lack of skills. You seem awfully bent out of shape that I replied on the topic but instead of simply say Hurray I added a critic, if you have that much of a problem with me simply ignore my posts, it would help you deal with that anger issue you seem to have going there.
Oh by the way he was not shooting back, the article says the kid shot at the other guy once, not at the man with the gun. Nope you just proved you know squat about how to deal with a shooting, you shoot center mass and the point is to stop them and by doing so you often kill them. So what, people have been shot by .44mags and lived to talk about it, your point is pointless, it is all in the luck of the draw and what is actually hit. So not a bad price for a round that is not as popular, in many stores 9mms can be hard to even get I know this by personal experience, far too many people have them. Shop around. Maybe it is hard in your area, here in Texas they are quit common. FYI: Bersa are fine guns and there are more than a few Real Gun Experts out there that will attest to the fact, go to Google and watch a few real shooters comment on them. I personally have NEVER had a stoppage with either of the two I own and yet my high dollar Kimber has had more than a few due to being picky about the ammo that is run through it. Here is a suggestion, don't like the Bersa brand, don't buy one, don't like the .380 then don't own one, those are your options, for me they have worked out great.
Most "gun fights" happen within 25' or less so the practice needs to be repetitive in that range if someone is not a hunter and carries only for protection..two tap center mass and pause

Ahhh, I see I was correct in my assumption, you are only here to argue and not actually discuss anything. Once again we see that some posters are not here to discuss issues or topics their only goal is to argue with anyone they consider the other guys, even when they are agreeing with their stand on an issue. Me thinks we are done discussing anything here since there is obviously no point in even attempting to they always lead down the mud pit some seem to prefer.
You are the one assuming, and if he had really learned to use his tool he would have been able to hit the target at 8 feet whether the target was standing still or moving especially when you fire 2 shots. Maybe your skills are on par with his and I would suggest the same thing for you, go learn to use your tools.
