...if you strongly dislike both the Republicans and the Democrats?

And there aren't any third parties you particularly like?

Not really. In theory, by not voting, the only person you hurt is yourself.

All though, if one does not vote and still complains about government, I feel like they really can't do that.

If someone doesn't vote, I think that is up to them... But I certainly don't want to listen to any of their complaint's about "how things are."

I voted for mostly NON incumbents. if I didn't like either, I voted for the 3rd choice - libertarian.

People usually vote 'for' rather than voting 'against' someone or something.

There is no "right" or "wrong" to choosing to not vote.

Nor is there to choosing to vote.

It's a free country, do as you think you should.

Not voting basically means you are willing to let others pick who represents you. If you are fine with that, then feel free not voting.

See, that's the problem. I view not voting as shirking your civic responsibility, which is the most egregious error in my opinion.

But it seems like I'm choosing between having my right eye or my left eye stabbed.

Argh, whatever.

I'm glad some people don't vote because many of them are too lazy to learn where the candidates stand on the issues, they'd rather watch re-runs of Family Guy than watch 30 minutes worth of news. I've heard people say "I won't vote for that guy because my Dad says he's for such and such". So many people are lazy sheep.

Again, if you are fine with letting others pick your representatives for you, then who am I to argue.
