Wow, really. I have never heard of a school doing that.

Don't change the argument. I said more than once that I was against blanket drug tests. You asked who cares if kids are doing drugs.

All it does is make the school pat themselves on the back and the parents feel better. Those same kids doing drugs, will still be doing them after the test. And no, I really don't care if 15 year olds are doing drugs. At least not enough to worry about justifying pointless tests for feel goods sakes.
Now you are moving the target and not really saying anything.

I would not personally consent to something like that. I'd quit the team first.

I agree with this..I think all state/federal employees should get drug tested at least once a year and randoms throughout..I always did on all of my jobs..pre-hire and random.

Honestly, I don't have a problem with it.

Our local high schools randomly tests. Every kid who does an extracurricular and/or has a parking permit goes into the pool.

(And it's any extracurricular - from Chess Club to Football. Same thing.)

I gave my opinion on the subject. I'm merely expounding on why I feel that way.

That's absurd. Was this a condition of merely attending the school and not additional extracurriculars?

If you were an elite athlete, that wanted to play in college, you'd probably think differently.

They have been doing this for a while here. I don't agree with it but courts have basically ruled that young people have zero rights in public schools.
