Oh, please!

Ever hear the expression "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is?" If someone told me they were going to provide me with the means to make all my dreams come true, that's what I would think.

There is no "free lunch!"

Well, that is true of AGW, which is not science. It's a political scam to push an agenda, and it has been proven to be a hoax.

I believe in real science, not the make believe variety that so many leftists try to shove down our throats.

Leftism, being what it is, (Marxist/socialist, or "Progressivism") gives me good reason to hate anything that smacks of it. This is because it tries to rob us of our Liberty, which is guaranteed by the Constitution, which liberals hate.

Do you understand why your Party lost the election? No, you probably don't. Your like Obama. You "hear" "the two thirds (according to Obama) who chose not to participate." Doesn't matter that they didn't say anything. Obama imagines that they did, and he arrogantly assumes they are on his side.

But, in this country, only those who show up to vote are "heard," and the message we sent was very clear.

Nonvoting "voters" do not count. They send no message. Obama mocked those of us who did vote, insinuating that those who did not vote, count more than those of us who did. It's an insult. In America, you have to vote to be heard. That's our system.

The big oil companies will not like this.... Is this the Breakthrough that Finally Kills 'Big Oil' and Brings Solar Power to the World?
However they are inop. at night and marginal in very cloudy days.

Liberals like to use the phrase, "settled science." Any real scientist knows there is no such thing as "settled science." Anyone who claims some science is "settled," has an agenda.

How on earth can you say solar is not viable when there are solar devices for almost every application that requires energy.....Most are still pricey, but like all newer technology expect those prices to fall....
We're not talking of watches, calculators, etc. We're talking of powering a home or a city! It's not viable!

What is the power output?

All the links from that article you linked have avoided saying that.

So must be very low.

Some breakthrough.

Not entirely true.

The money wasted on Solyndra and all these other alternative companies have made me wary of these "breakthroughs".

And the leftist dream come true is to have the population needing government to live.

There's going to be about 8.2 billion people in developing countries by 2050 (which is a billion more than the entire planet now). They're going to need food & water as well as energy. Technological advances are great but the only thing that's going to provide that is nuclear. With nuclear you're not killing wildlife, you're not dumping CO into the atmosphere and you're not using valuable farming land for solar farms and you'll have enough energy for large scale desalination plants.

One day you environmental wackos will get this. Some have already come around while others base all of their decisions on fear and will continue to do so until it's too late.

It's not all fear, Big Green won't back nuclear because they will lose donors... just ask James Hansen.

I have nothing against solar energy. I do oppose government funding of solar energy. If solar energy cannot be produced at a competitive cost without government then we don't need it.
