The country seems to be very focused on race now.

But we all know money is the real privilege in this country.

Can you tell me that a poor white person has more privilege than someone from a wealthy or upper middle class black family.

The wealthy of all colors know how the game is played and they can afford to hire the best.

Not just the best attorneys; but the best doctors, the best accountants and are more likely to be politically connected in some way versus poor people of any background.

It's cliche of course, but we all know that O.J Simpson wouldn't have got off if he was a poor white guy or a poor black guy.

He had the money to hire the Dream Team, which cost a fortune.

A public defender wouldn't have done the same and everyone knows that is true.

As Kanye West said in one song,
"Heard Yeezy was racist, well, I guess that’s on one basis
I only like green faces"

From Rapgenius : Heard Yeezy was racist, well, I guess that
"Because of events like his “George Bush doesn’t like black people” statement and his behavior at the VMA Awards, Kanye has been accused of being racist against whites.

But Kanye only cares about money, so he’s kind of racist in the sense that unless you have a green face, he doesn’t give a **** about you."

You're quoting Kanye West to make your point? Lol

"Even if you in a Benz, you still a n***a in a coupe."

Why don't you ask your black friends? Even the mayor of New York has to give his black children "the talk" about how to behave around police without getting killed. How many whites even worry about such a thing?

Intersectionality, people.

There are many different kinds of privilege. Economic and social class is absolutely one of those things: rich people have benefits poor people don't have.

That doesn't mean that privilege based on race, sex, orientation, gender identity, physical ability, or any other category of privilege doesn't exist.

Of course the main issue is class and wealth. Race follows class and the bulk of the working poor are people of color so that's why race and class are conflated.

We can't discuss class in this country without being accused of class warfare.

When you talk to people about ferguson they'll tell you its not because the kid was black but because he was a thug, of he had been white they would've still said he deserved to get shot.

Upper middle class white people who make up the bulk of the power structure hate poor people of all races because they see them as the scum who can't get their act together. They prejudge them to be useless felons who deserve what they get for being thugs, no goods abs whatever else.

I agree that race is used too much as a default for highlighting class issues.

There are only two classes, working class and owning class.
