There is too much controversy around this guy, with this not even being close to the only issue he has bungled.

In all likelihood, he will get the hook when he is up for re-election, if he does not resign first. One and done.

I can understand being frustrated over getting harassed for minor things. He was supposed to know they would all jump him?

Seriously.......I can't for the life of me understand people still defending 6 guys jumping someone for selling loose cigarette's with one of them going as far as using a chokehold that had been banned.

de Blasio has the support of the radicals, losers, elitists, fascists and thugs so he doesn't really need the support of the average citizen, business owner or police. NYC will now suffer for its folly in electing him.

I support the legalization of pot. I don't support arresting someone for jay walking.

Didn't these officers take an Oath to be subordinate and show the proper respect towards senior leadership and their Mayor as Commander-In-Chief?

NYPD cops turn their backs on de Blasio - CNN.com Video
Are you kidding?

DeBlasio needs to be held accountable for his insane far left views, particularly when it gets people killed. Police officers turning their backs on him shows that they have no confidence in his policies and rhetoric, which directly endangers thier lives.

we do not live in the 1960's
I very well remember that
but the racism today have a lot of black faces but we are supposed to ignore it
because of what happened back then
if white people were doing what black folks are doing and being SUPPORTED by the president
there would be outrage AS IT SHOULD BE!!!!!!
the racist message today is NO BLACK person should be arrested for anything
this is being fueled by race whores
the mayor of NY turned these cop haters loose to block streets, bridges, attacking police screaming death to cops
and now these same hacks are saying oh calm down
these people got what they wanted DEAD COPS!!!
the media too is to blame
this
HANDS UP DONT SHOOT was and is a LIE it never happened
this punk Mike Brown got his fat ass killed by attacking a police officer
too bad
and did you hear what the family of this police officer said
they forgive
not lets kill or lets burn down NY
I am mad as hell
I was talking again to my daughter today about my 12 year old grand son
his skin is black because his father is black
what kind of hate do people want to tell him???
I DO blame president Obama and his bigoted wife
I blame Eric Holder
Al Sharpton, the frigging POS now asking for what?? Police protection!!!! He is scared shi^less someone is going
to shoot his sorry ass!!
let him run to the cop haters maybe they give a shi^ about him

That is quite the stretch you got going there and I am not buying it. Every officer knows there is a danger to their job.

That is quite a false narrative you got going there. Would it be better if they all were praising the police and saying we should never question their actions and that they should be allowed to govern however they see fit?

Do you wish to live in a police state where it is wrong to question the police?

Don't count on it. We're talking about New Yorkers. Remember that DC elected a mayor arrested on (convicted of? I don't recall) drug and prostitution charges.
