In all honesty, 90% or more of the time I hear about Al Sharpton comes to my attention via a white conservative. I mean....I tend to give him high marks just for the fact that conservatives/racist hate him so much. Obviously if he was someone that ilk praised.....then he would not be doing much for black people.
It really doesn't matter what your background is, if you are a liberal, I am interested in hearing your thoughts on him. Even though he seems to share some of the same views as many in the liberal community, his constant race dividing tactics seems to be against many of the principles that liberals typically stand for. It would seem almost hypocritical to support him, but chastise Republican, who some liberals do not feel are very inclusive. Thoughts?
I am mostly liberal but not completely. I personally think that he and Jesse Jackson are attention seekers. He is a reverend supposedly but has no church. How does he make his money exactly? Why do the press give him airtime? I also noticed he has lost a lot of weight has he been ill? Personally he annoys me.
300 plus million people in this country and this is the best msnbc can do?? whether I agree of disagree with him ,who can listen to that voice of his, he sounds like he in a constant state of constipation.
Very Curious, How Do Liberals Feel about Al Sharpton?
Not a liberal, but I certainly do enjoy how the good Rev gets the religious right all lathered up any time he gets involved in an issue.
Besides, the man has a thick skin and a great sense of humor.
