Not really; they may claim they practice it the correct way but not "true religion". All thousands of different denominations falls under the true religion of Christianity. Many of the denominations are cultural as well, such as the Greek Orthodox, Armenian Orthodox, Roman Catholic, etc.
Blah, blah, blah.
They still claim that their faith, their interpretation, their beliefs are the TRUTH. And everyone else's is FALSE. Don't try to ignore that. When the Pentecostal preacher says EVERYONE who doesn't believe what he is preaching is going to go to Hell, he's not saying that the Armenian Orthodox are going to get into heaven.
There is no such thing as 100% same religion. Every person has their own individual take on what they are taught, their own interpretation, their own belief system. What we believe is extremely personal, and very individualistic. People follow the denomination that most closely follows their own personal belief system, and they know that they won't agree with everything taught in their personal church.
When the differences get to be too big, they try to find another church, or they found their own church. That's why we have so many denominations.
no. man has been killing man for millennia, and will continue to do so over various resources.
religion is NOT responsible for wars and corruption, but it is an easy scapegoat. people are going to hate others for one reason or another, be it because their skin is a different color, or they disagree philosophically, or politically. we can completely eliminate religion around the world, and people will still find a reason to kill each other.
so while you can blame religion, it isnt the cause of problems. and yes i know you are going to point to various wars in history that were so called religious wars, but get to the underlying reasons why the wars were fought, and you will find that few wars were truly fought over religion.
LMAO...you've gotta be kidding me.
Religion is a major catalyst in the history of the world's wars and corruption. Often enough, THE main catalyst.
There's a reason why the most secular nations in the world live in perpetual peace, while the most religious nations are always in conflict...not to mention that the more religious a nation is, the more backwards and medieval it tends to be.
No because no matter the religion, someone will want more than their land can produce, whether its food , water or oil. then war
Awesome post, and the truth behind every hostile action between tribes/villages/towns/states/nations in history, regardless of the propaganda.
Only thing you left out was money and power on the part of the leaders. They eventually want more money and power than their nation and people can provide them, so they seek more outside their own borders.
Religion is simply an easy way to rally ignorant people to the cause of helping take the money, power, food, materials, land, etc from whoever has it. Religion is rarely the reason for the war itself, but is often the primary recruiting tool for supplying cannon fodder.
Do you think the world will be in more peaceful if individual country was 100% of same religion, such as America being 100% Christian, Europe 100% Christian, Pakistan 100% Muslim, North Korea 100% atheist, India 100% Hindu, Israel 100% Jewish, etc.?
No I don't. Even if everyone was the same religion in your mentioned countries, there will always be another factor that creates discord (for example economic background). Humans are not capable of creating 100% peaceful societies even when the demographics are exactly the same.

You still confuse organized religion with the truth message of Christianity and Christ himself. What you said is partly correct; however all denominations are still Christian and part of Christianity (exception of Mormonism & JW's because they deny the divinity of Christ/trinity).
People will just find some other reason to kill each other. Look at Latin America, it's mostly all Christian, yet it's got a history of civil wars and political violence over the last 200 years and today has the most violent cities in terms of murder in the world outside of warzones.
This. It's not just religion but how you read into it. /thread
