democracy? from the AGW warmers? are you serious? its the AGW crowd that is trying to control the narrative through intimidation and claiming the science is settled bravo sierra. some in the AGW crowd are calling for the credentials of those that are skeptical to be stripped, and to have those that are skeptical thrown in jail, the extreme AGW crowd wants them killed.
Why do you feel the need to be dishonest and use hyperbole? It only makes you and your argument look foolish. The extreme in any crowd wants the other side killed..... You got a point besides a bunch of baseless claims?

and when someone does show skepticism, their work is denigrated as being unscientific, merely a blog, or they are not specifically a climate scientist(despite the fact that many of the AGW crowd are also NOT climate scientists), or what ever other insults the AGW crowd can throw at them.
no my friend, it is the AGW crowd that is ruining democracy.
Well you "denialists" or whatever label, tend to believe whatever you read. Educated folks were taught to look at the source as in this internet age anyone can start a blog or say whatever you want. You folks have a hard time differentiating between fact and what you want to hear.
Good !!! Now that you understand the difference between weather and climate, please familiarize yourself and teach others of the church of AGW that climate is measured in cycles of THOUSANDS OF YEARS, not decades. During those long cycles of overall warming (exiting a glaciation period) or overall cooling (approaching the next glaciation period) there are fluctuations in temperature which appear in short term trends of warming and cooling which may cover decades of time, but DO NOT DEFINE the direction of that much longer warming or cooling cycle.
Of course, you all SHOULD possess the rather fundamental level of common sense necessary to understand that given the choice between the only two possibilities ... (1) warming or (2) cooling, number 1 is FAR MORE DESIRABLE, unless you find a glaciation cycle apealling, with it's requisite die off of 90% of life on planet earth.
If that choice seems difficult .... well .... I'm not qualified to help you.
Oh come on.
Does anyone here not believe an asteroid impact or increased geological activity or increased solar activity would not alter the climate?
However, somehow, annually releasing millions of gigatons of greenhouse gases that have been stored underground for tens to hundreds of millions will have no effect of the climate. Really?

How is warming better? It will cause the oceans to rise and displace more than half the human population and will also cause die off of plants and animals in the oceans and on land. A colder atmosphere generates smaller and less frequent major storms, more snow falls at higher latitudes and lower elevations, making for more fresh water, that and more water locked up in ice on mountain tops, the northern latitudes, the Antarctic and Greenland will expose more coastal lands all around the world. Diseases are more rampant in a warm moist world, the insect population would explode, Malaria would be uncontrollable as mosquitos invade areas they normally would not survive in, but would now flourish. During the last glacial period the planet had a much more diverse biota, many more large animals like the mammoth, mastodons, giant sloths, huge cats and canids, giant camels and giant flightless birds dominated the planet. All of those died off when the planet warmed up and northern grasslands were replaced by less nutritious forests. Most animals got smaller as the planet warmed up and less diverse.

When the dinosaurs were here it wasn't a warm planet?
Who the hell cares what the climate was millions of years ago? What is your point other than to deflect this discussion?
And here we have it folks. It doesn't matter what REALLY happened in the past, the ONLY thing that matters is what the failed models of the AGW scare tells us will happen in the future.
While I could explain to you the difference between climate and local weather, I won't. There's no way you haven't already heard. Oh well.
Hopefully the wind won't pick up where you live, or else it will pick up everywhere because that's how it works, I guess.
Maybe we could explain the difference between cold and hot to you. But then your ideology drives you to deny that being cool doesn't actually mean that it's not warmer, oh no, it only means that, that, that well we really don't know what it means but we're absolutely certain that evil humanity, in particular evil conservatives are responsible for the fact that climate changes when its obvious to everyone that climate never changed until evil conservatives and gas guzzling cars came on the scene. And even if you're wrong it's OK because you have very good intentions.

It's really sad that you don't understand science, and that the concern is for the present and the future, not the distant past.....In the past climate shifts were caused by natural processes, but today humans are overwhelming the natural carbon cycle.....
