The problem we have been experiencing is when the economic system begins to heavily influence the political system when the political system is supposed to represent all of the people, and not the richest people.
Thats why capitalism is conflicting with a democracy....
Probably but the workers might have given them the permission to do managing tasks. This isn't how our current business model works though. Managers are not appointed democratically and workers are not in charge of the fruits of their labor.
Shrug, a democratic republic thats supposed to represent all the people. You're quibbling, and ignoring the point. Which is that while we call ourselves other things, we are really more and more becoming a plutocracy

People are always going to vote based at least partially on economic interests. You cannot seperate economics from politics. In fact, capitalism's foe, socialism, is politics and government intertwined by definition.
When you get away from theory and look at history you find it is socialism which is least compatible with democracy.

Workers can spend their money any way they choose.

Ahhh but if the government represents the people voting equally, even if they vote based upon their economic interests, thats fine.
Thats not what occurs today. Our government is not representing the individual voters. By far they are representing the rich.
Look at our military spending for a great example. The majority on both the left and the right are against spending more. And yet....we are going to spend more.
Workers are very much in charge of the "fruits of their labor".
