150 Americans now involved with ISIS army as 'virtual caliphate' aggressively recruits terrorists on the Internet and the FBI says 'It's not even close to being under control'

Of course it's a UK paper reporting this.

ISIS operates a 'virtual caliphate' online, California Republican Rep. Ed Royce said Thursday, recruiting foreigners at an 'unprecedented rate.'

'Some 20,000 foreign fighters from more than 90 countries now make up its ranks' including at least 3,400 from the West and more than 150 Americans,' Royce said during a hearing in the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which he chairs.

ISIS 'occupies territory the size of Great Britain, holds an estimated $2 billion in assets, and is believed to be the most well-funded terror group in history.' he warned.

...
At least 15 Somali-Americans from Minnesota have also been lured to Syria and Iraw to fight with the murderous jihadi group.

Abdirahmaan Muhumed told Minnesota Public Radio in June 2014 that he was fighting for ISIS when it captured the Iraqi cities of Mosul and Tikrit.

I'm all for freedom of religion, but when that religion is involved in murder and military action against the country on a large scale basis - it's freedoms should be revoked and its practice removed.

We should eagerly encourage those who want to join ISIS to go freely. Maybe we could even pay for their airfare, one way.

Of course it would be with the understanding that as soon as they leave US airspace, they'll forfeit their citizenship and never be allowed to return. Their passports and American-issued photo IDs would be immediately invalidated.

Much better for the soft-heads to be over there than among us.

That's not how it works. We are not in the realm of "what if..." It's easy to make statements that you KNOW will never come to fruition. And if there ever came to be that legislation was introduce legislation to strip their citizenship - both of you would be against it.

They are trained and return here... NOT GOOD.

I imagine the legal problem is ISIS is not defined as a notional army so joining it is not considered a treason. The reality is that ISIS is an enemy and joining it is treason and the criminals should be treated as such. We should fight them as an enemy of the US and, if captured, hang them for treason.

I just proposed it.

You're jealous that you didn't think of it.

And you're fearful that they're slipping in unnoticed?
