Sorry people, but the line "you won't get me to defend him" isn't making YOUR cases any better. It simply doesn't override the fact that he didn't attempt to OFFEND Sharpton either when Kelly basically tried to get him to do so.
"The same goals." He said it..not me. Don't try to play it off with some half hearted nonsense about him not defending Sharpton.
Not to mention that he accepted an invite from NAN and admittedly, he rather enjoyed it.
It' seems that the key question is, "what are those goals?" It may be that they have the same goals; but, that doesn't mean Carson agrees with how Sharpton-the-charlatan goes about achieving them. Ending racism is a goal that should be shared by everyone. But going around the country race-baiting as Sharpton and others do, which actually foments more racism, isn't helpful.
Lifting blacks out of poverty, seeing that they stay in school and off the streets, and are better educated is a worthy goal, and I'm sure Sharpton and Carson share those goals. We should all want that. The problem is that the Democrat Party has never done anything to improve the lives of blacks, but has done everything to keep them impoverished and dependent on government. Ben Carson has often articulated these problems, and talked about how to make real changes in the lives of blacks.
Ben Carson is a brilliant man, and his experience should be a beacon of hope to all blacks (and anyone else who thinks there is no hope). If he and Sharpton agree on some things, I'm certainly not going to put him down for it.

Ask Carson what the goals are. HE said it...not me. Same goals means just that...Same goals.
His experience should be a beacon of hope to all blacks?
LMAO...I swear man, you folks kill me with all the extra melodrama.
The guy is a surgeon and believe it or not, I've met a few surgeons in my life. Because you know...EVERY hospital has a few lying around.
Desertdetroiter, I see you are checking out Ben Carson. He is quite a man . Very intelligent and he would make a wonderful president. Ben Carson has a heart for all people.
As if being black weren't enough of an obstacle in the Republican party... Carson has expressed something other than seething hatred for a black Democrat. It's not like there was ever a chance he'd be nominated... but this just cements it. White conservatives will never vote for him now.

Why should I vote for him instead of several other surgeons that I know personally?
I think my gastroenterologist is smart ...why shouldn't I vote for him instead of Carson?

When did you start speaking for white conservatives?

You don't know any community organizers you could support?
