I wasn't going to make a thread on this topic but this has to be said. There's no more hope! Things aren't going to change in the Black community. The Baltimore riots have clearly shown us that there is absolutely no empathy for the Black man in America. All this focus on protesting and looting but there is almost no focus on why there is so much frustration and anger among Black males. It's clearly obvious that America has no intentions on addressing the huge elephant in the room. Police brutality is the icing on the cake of a long history of oppression and racism against Blacks. Black males need to wake up and realize that this country despises them. If things continue as they are, Black males are done for in this country. Black males have been getting killed in epidemic numbers ever since the drugs came into the community. America wants to ignore this Black genocide. even having a so called Black president didn't change anything. The Black community has gotten worse under the Obama Administration. Things will only deteriorate and get worse. It deeply pains me to say this but it's only a matter of time before Black American males are finished off once and for all in this country. No hope, no change, just misery and pain.

It's no consequence that every time Blacks try to pick themselves up by their bootstraps economically, it is usually sabotaged by White Supremacy. Ironically the beneficiaries(of this oppressed system) and the Coon/Uncle Tom Blacks are always the first ones who want to criticize the Black community for being in its current state without looking at the history of why the Black community is in bad economic shape. Keep in mind people that most of these community that were destroyed happen during the time period where the Black family was still intact, so you can't blame all the problems on the Democratic liberal policies of the 1960's and onward.

That's quite a rant you got going!

Maybe you can answer why large numbers of " Black" men enjoy crime , killing each other, absentee fatherhood ( baby daddies) and blaming others for self inflicted "problems" ???.

There are plenty of hard working, decent people of AA ancestry to emulate, too many choose unemployed, drug dealing, gangsta, rioting, rock throwing losers to look up to instead.

BTW literally MILLIONS of "Blacks" went to work today, obeyed the laws, spent time doing positive day to day activities and had ZERO problems whatsoever.

I get the frustration aspect as much as I can as a non black person. That's as honest as I can be.

Looting and rioting are just making matters worse, though. Reinforcing stereotypes (even if it sucks that the stereotypes exist in the first place) will not help the greater cause.

Default I disagree

There are millions of black people in this country who are doing quite well. They have excellent diction, embrace high educational achievement, live quietly with no criminal inclination, and are devoted to their SOs and/or families. They are working in the profession that they went to school for, and are raising their kids to do same. They are simply people, who happen to be black. The commonality they share with others, is not centered around race. They are called "uncle toms" within a certain segment of the black community, and it is quite a shame.

Those who don't fit the above description, that segment of black people who would rather embrace thug and hip-hop rather than high educational achievement, those who would rather riot than read, those who are content to underachieve, rather than developing character, intelligence, humility, education, and family, are part of the problem. America is sick of this segment, regardless of race.

And yet there is no quicker or easier way to get into Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford....no quicker or easier way to get hired by a major corporation....no quicker or easier way to get promoted by a major corporation....no easier or quicker way to get hired as a university faculty member....no easier or quicker way to get tenure as a university faculty member....no easier or quicker way to get hired by federal, state, county and municipal government....no easier or quicker way to get promoted by federal, state, county or municipal government....no easier or quicker way to land a government contract...than by being black and given a racial preference.

And there is no better way to guarantee that you won't be fired for cause than by being black -- because that would be "racist."

Excellent post.

The black people I've known have come from the former.

Problem is that those fitting the latter description are more visible in the media, which colors people's perceptions.

Thus, these riots are not helping at all.

EDIT: btw, maybe I should tell the black guy living next door to me that owns three cars, that he's oppressed, cause I don't think he got the memo.

A Black Man was elected the President of the USA. The USA is the only White majority country on the planet where this could have happened not once but twice.

So this proves your theory nonsense. A Black man willing to join society instead of railing against it, educating himself learning to speak proper English and working hard, can reach the highest office in all of Western Civilization.

You are attempting to make excuse for irresponsibility, criminal behavior, failing to provide for children, taking instead of giving to the rest of the community. If you expect the rest of the USA to believe you, then you I'm afraid disappointment is headed your way because nobody is listening now.
