After Pope Francis confab, Raul Castro may pray again - CNN.com

Wow very interesting how influential and great this current Pope Francis is... Cuba is starting to be more tolerant and accepting religion and religious people now, so much so that even militant atheist Raul Castro may become Catholic Christian now.

Christmas and Good Friday became public holidays and legalized not long time ago in the "former" atheist communist nation of Cuba. Good move

Does anyone really care that Raul may begin praying again? This is about Raul not the people of Cuba. Cuba is majority Roman Catholic as it is. Some intermingle Catholicism with Santeria or Yoruba.

Possibly a happy ending to a failed experiment. I will say that I've spoken with many people that have been to Cuba and almost all had good things to say about how Cuba has been managed. The problem is the government control of production without any incentives renders everyone poor...the Marxist system as an economic experiment has been a miserable failure.

This could be the end of communism in Cuba as we know it, since communism and Catholic social thought are incompatible.
