How long should we give the next President to clean up the mess this president has left?
Not a bad question. Probably forever.
I can see only a few things that *really* matter.
. Closing the border
. A Fed chairman along the lines of Volcker to shut down the credit tap
. Withdrawal from unprofitable wars
. Turning away from construction of the national surveillance state
The rest of it, the ACA, race issues, educational issues, etc. etc. are in a second tier of problems.
The next President, regardless of party, will do none of these things.
A record would indicate that the feat has never been reached before, that is untrue, there for you either dont know the defintion of the word or are purposefully lying.
Further more, the participation rate has been dropping for 15 years.
explain how that is his fault , then we can discuss it.

Ah those were the days, the biggest threat to the economy was high interest rates. The largest threat to our defense was Grenada, Libya and Nicaragua. No global competition.
One of the largest recessions in our history, massive deficits from the prior president, and inextricably tied to wars in 2 countries.

The lesser of 2 evils argument still means a win for Democrats, the things people hate most about Obama seem to be his republican leanings, the whole"outbushing Bush" thing.

-wage stagnation
-racially charged climate, him being among the most racially divisive presidents ever
-the "Affordable" Care Act
-record high income and wealth inequality
-distrust in government
-the most divided political environment since the civil war
-$8 Trillion in additional debt to the overall national debt, almost more than all presidents combined
