Just how is this done? Do you have such good eyesight that you can tell if it's a credit or debit card or SNAP card? I watch people swiping their cards all the time, not being nosy, just because they're doing it in front of me, and I have no idea what card their using. Or do you get real close and peer over their shoulder real creepy like?

What it says is that you have to spend 67% of your food stamps on foods on the WIC list, the list of prohibited foods are foods are not WIC eligible. With 67% of your benefits you can also buy foods listed under # 6,7,8,9 of the list you just published. If you want to buy any other food, you can only do so with 33% of your food benefits. It's BS, there is no reason for this. WIC foods are always very restrictive because they are meant for pregnant women and children under five. I'm sure the legislature doesn't care what poor people eat, they are just trying to pander to conservative voters who want to punish the poor- for being poor.
When I worked at a gas station/convenience store (this was 7 yrs ago).... it was COMMON to have customers come in, purchase $30 worth of soda, chips, donuts, candy.... and guess what they used to pay for it??????? YEPPER!!! EBT!
Those same chips, soda, donuts and candy would of been 25% cheaper at the local grocery store!
You just said that you guys wait till the end of the month to buy lobster.
we still have two weeks left. Only way your story is true is if your household is composed of welfare cheats.
Might as well buy it now. Not like we are ever going to go hungry. The SNAP simply improves the quality of food we buy. It is a great government program.
Look here, guys goes to convenience store. Can't afford beer. Checker knows guy rings up as grocery item bypassing scanner and buyer pays with EBT card. Seen it happen. Now go troll yourself.

That happens, and stores that allow it to happen lose their right to sell to SNAP recipients. Stores also sell liquor to people under 21 and they get criminally fined. So, your point is what?

So what? If they use their SNAP benefits like that, they won't have enough to eat for the rest of the month, that's how life works.

Sure they will. They have other food resources.
