Best guess is because a state senator was there preaching at the time. Another guess is he thought he'd get less resistance inside a church than from another type of group. That church is well know for its place in black history. That was no accident, don't you think? He let one person live so she could tell what happened and what he said. A five year old survived by playing dead.

Knee-jerk is Obama not knowing if any gun laws could have prevented this shooting, but going on TV to make the case for new gun control legislation anyway.
obama did not call for new gun legislation in this speech, you want to link the speech where he did so, or is that just your interpretation?

My heart ache for those victims and their family. BUT at the same time, this is a baby...A distrub, evil demented little boy. Sad all around.

There was a reason he chose this particular church as he was from Columbia, over two hours away. There's no shortage of black churches in Columbia or points in between. I wonder why he chose this particular black church though. Was it the pastor, the history of the church, or something else? No idea. Wonder if we will ever know?

He's not a baby - not even a child. He's an adult mass murderer and will be facing South Carolina justice which is almost guaranteed to be the death penalty.

Death penalty is too easy for him. Let some inmates get to him.

Dad gave it to him as a birthday present. One of those "family gun moments" the NRA cherishes.

His father got the gun for him for his 21st birthday apparently. So there goes the question I'm sure the media would have asked, Where are the Parents?

Really? The church is a staple in the black community. Why do you think politicians go there to give speeches during election periods?
