No humidity in the part of Texas where I am. Lotsa different climates here and yeah, Houston is miserable in the summer.

Here in the Longhorn state, we have a saying:

Oklahomans have a good comeback, but it isn't appropriate for a "family friendly" forum like this one.

Latinos are most likely to support secession (31.6%), followed closely by blacks (29.8%).

Whites are somewhat less inclined to support secession (21.5%).

Shock Reuters polling data: 31.6% of Latinos open to seceding from United States

The Reuters poll found that overall, 23.9% of Americans would like their state to break from the union.

One in four Americans want their state to secede from the U.S., but why?

Conservatives practice pure capitalism and business, and business exists for one sole purpose "to make money." The more money a business pays it workers the less profits a business makes, that's why American corporations move US jobs to Asia for cheaper labor (and more profits.)

A conservative nation would pay its workers as little as possible, and when workers don't make a lot of money an entire nation/economy will not flourish.

The education, science and communication fields have become hostile towards people with Conservative beliefs. Is there any surprise that we avoid careers where we are marginalized?
University professors and scientists are intelligent people and you can't tell them corporate lies without some response. Education and science stand for the truth and when you spread messages like "supply side tax cuts increase revenues" or "global warming is a hoax" those people will be hostile towards you.

But they don't. They suggest it, knowing its not going to happen so they can look like the "good guys." Meanwhile, these hypocrites refuse to lead by example and pay more taxes voluntarily. Buffet talks a good game about fairness, opportunity, etc. but lives in a city that has the one of the highest Black crime and poverty rates in the country. He's a typical Liberal, driving by these problems right in front of him and talking about how someone else needs to do something about this.
Warren Buffet used his political pull to get the "Buffet Rule" into congress, but republicans in congress stopped the law from passing. The Buffet Rule would have made all billionaires pay higher taxes than their current 6-14% rate.

And Warren Buffett is a foundation trustee for the Gates Foundation. They do incredible things for inner cities and their schools. Both Buffet and Gates have pledged to give most of their fortunes to charity.

And Buffet Gives BILLIONS of dollars to charity each year. In 2015 Buffet gave away $2.8 BILLION dollars to charity.
Warren Buffett gives away another $2.8 billion - Jul. 6, 2015

Considering the above facts please explain how Warren Buffet is a hypocrite.

Yeah, the richest people in this nation, the ones the Left complains about incessantly, are Liberals themselves. They complain about the Kochs influencing elections, but have no problems with the millions Soros and Steyer pour in to do the same.
Soros and Steyer stand for different things than the Koch's do. Soros and Steyer want high worker wages, healthcare for everyone, and assistance for the poor. The Koch's want CEO tax cuts, corporate tax cuts, corporate deregulation, and to abolish every government agency that fines corporations and decreases their profits (like they want to abolish the EPA.)

You act like these things don't exist outside of the east/west coast. Most of our technology comes from around the world. The news we get from NY/LA is garbage compared to the more fair reporting of foreign news sources. Movies, TV and music are not created exclusively in Los Angeles. Most of our food comes from red states, not blue ones. California is constantly in draught and LA gets most of its water from as far east as Wyoming.
Most technology comes from America (then the Asian countries copy it and sell it back to us at cheaper prices.)

And all of our large news outlets are "corporate propaganda" with Fox news and Rush radio being the worst of all.

I wouldn't know, not having read Ayn Rand.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
I'm glad that you have so thoroughly explored these branches of "literature" and "deep thought."

There have been plenty of non-conservative secessionist movements, including a proposal that gays move en masse to Alpine County, California in order to take over the local government.

Well, of course they will.

They don't like being called out on their b.s.

No one does.

Government controlled research money -- completely politicized -- now goes to supporting what Obama wants people to think, not the truth. The same, in fairness, would be true with the Republicans if they were in charge of the relevant federal agencies.

Which is why inner cities and their schools are in such great shape -- not.

Because he doesn't give billions in extra money to the government -- he wants other people to do that. And as another poster said, his own town is a mess. With all of his money, he could certainly change that. The same goes for Bill Gates. I guess they never heard the saying, "Charity begins at home."

I would take these rich people who want taxes to go up more seriously if a) they didn't take advantage of every tax loophole they could, and b) they demanded that the government stop wasting money, which it does all the time.

When Homo sapiens (humans) left Africa they were black, but after spending time in Europe their skin had to become lighter so sunlight could pass into their bodies so certain vitamins could be absorbed. People who live in cold areas have light skin and people who live in sunny areas have darker skin.

Leonard Jeffries was talking about more than skin pigmentation.

His entire thesis comes down to "white = evil; black = good."

Leonard Jeffries is a joke.

So are Bill Ayers and Ward Churchill.

So is the murderer Angela Davis.

So are the rest of the despicable trash that have found a home in our universities -- many of them outright criminals.

You should first ask, what is a "climate scientist"? I've never heard of one. Is there a Ph.D. in "climate science"? Has this supposed "science" made predicting the weather a sure thing two weeks in advance? What about a year in advance?

Consider: No amount of human activity could even come close to spewing the amount of carbon and other toxins into the environment that occurred during the period in the earth's history when mountains were being formed and volcanoes were erupting all over the planet.

Every major "climate change" conference I've heard of has had attendees flying in jets to the site of the conference. If they were so concerned about carbon emissions, why didn't they stay home and use Skype or Gotomeeting?

Why do these climate change-obsessed leaders fly in private jets?

Why has Al Gore's mansion used $12,000 a month in electricity?

Why did Ted Kennedy raise holy hell when Massachusetts wanted to put windmills off shore within site of his compound on Martha's Vineyard?

What about the medieval warm period?

Why is that excluded from the "hockey stick" that claims to show that only the industrial age has been associated with atmospheric warming?

First, it was climate cooling -- the coming ice age.

Then it was global warming.

Now it's just "climate change" -- like that never happened before.

The climate change "sky is falling" types are "right" even when they are wrong. Their theses are unfalsifiable (since they always change) and therefore unscientific.

Their "science" means changing the rules and moving the goal posts at their convenience.

They are a fraud, and even an eighth grader should be able to see through their nonsense.

Quote:
No respected economist believes tax cuts increase government revenues.
Wrong.

Friedman, Laffer and many others agree with the simple, proven fact that if you cut taxes on business, and production increases as a result, tax revenues will also increase.

The claim to the contrary is an outright lie by the Left and its stable of fake economists who, in fact, are just a bunch of Communists.

Follow their prescriptions, and you'll end up like the Soviet Union, Cuba and North Korea.

Republicans say global warming is a hoax because combating global warming would decrease corporate profits.
