I'm not spinning anything. If he violated a law by killing a tagged and protected lion, then he should be prosecuted. I'm saying is that lion hunting itself is not a crime in Zimbabwe, just like hunting certain animals here. Any other lion (if it had a different color mane), this would be a non story.
Btw, Personally I would never participate in a "trophy" hunt.
No one is claiming that, Palmer and his guide baiting this particular lion off protected territory. Hopefully Palmer will be extradited to stand trial for his crimes.

But 2 + 2 still equals four meaning it's a little hard to care about Cecil's killing before we knew it went down.
