Walker and Bush standing on either side of Trump = fireworks.
Walker and Bush and fireworks in the same sentence? I'm not seeing it. If you put the two of them together, they might generate as much excitement as John McCain.
Well, he is right that polls are meaningless fifteen months out from the election, and I think it's fairly idiotic to have this long of a campaign season at all. Doesn't mean Santorum has the proverbial snowball's chance, but it's hard to see how this extended campaign helps the public make a more informed decision. All it seems to do is favor the candidates with the most money (hmmm.... ).

How did Carson and Huckabee make the cut? Really splitting hairs among the bottom feeders.
People are ragging on Carson and Huck. They're tied for fourth place in the RCP combined rating. I think Carson in particular has been polling significantly better than Santorum, Perry, the real bottom-feeders.
The moderators can't show off because everyone will be watching them to see how fair they are and they also can't demand more in depth answers from the candidates because of the number of candidates on the stage and the small amount of time allotted for each. Let's say 5 candidates stick to their general talking points. If the moderators went back to each of the 5 to press them for more detail it will mean that 5 other candidates are going to get less air time. Maybe that would be okay with 4 - 6 candidates but not with 10. By the same token, the moderators are not there to provoke a fight between 2 candidates because as I've said before, if they do, the candidate on the receiving end of the barb gets an extra 30 seconds to respond to it thus taking time away from the other 9. If they do it, the candidate should tell the moderators to cut the cr*p, they know Don King and Chris Wallace/Megyn Kelley you are no Don King.
The most talented "moderator" is on the stage. That person is Mike Huckabee who asked the best/most interesting questions of the Republican candidates during the 2012 election season on his 1 hour show. If Fox News wanted to be really good, they would have had someone from The Fox Business channel asking questions about jobs and the economy.
I think the post debate spin, not by the candidate's reps, but by Fox News panelists/analysts is going to be what makes us mad about the debate. That is, do you believe them or your own lyin' eyes and ears?
