The Hitchbot was built in Canada. He was able to cross the entire country, from Nova Scotia to British Columbia in just 26 days, relying on the good will of Canadians. He was a friendly little guy, who could make small talk with humans, and take a random photo of his surroundings every 20 minutes .
He only lasted 2 weeks in the USA. Somehow that doesn't surprise most Canadians.......

Oh the robot was Canadian. No doubt the robot was picked up by someone and spent the next several hours boring the crap out of them until they just couldn't take it anymore.

Yeah frustration anger is what happens when, being dumber than a box of hammers, you come up short during a conversation with a box of hammers having a better vocabulary than yours.
So it turns out that this youtube a-hole Jesse Wellens staged the whole thing. He picked up the robot and left in old Philadelphia, then set up a bogus surveillance camera and had his buddy pretend to kick the crap out of the robot.
Congratulations d-bag, you're an even bigger youtube loser now
Since it was all a hoax, perhaps the robot is still intact. I couldn't actually see the robot itself being kicked, something was blocking the view. Maybe the after shots were photo shopped. Or maybe I need glasses, the video was pretty dark and grainy. Regardless, it was a really douchebag thing to do.
